About CVWC

CVWC members are community-minded women of all ages, from the Clayton/Concord area and beyond, who have joined together to provide community service through volunteering and fundraising. We are dedicated to meeting the needs and interests of all members as we meet the needs in our community.

We meet at 10:00 am on the second Tuesday of each month, September through November and January through May, at St. John's Episcopal Church Fellowship Hall, 5555 Clayton Road, Clayton. We have special events at other locations as listed in the calendar. We do not meet in July and August.

CVWC was organized and federated in 1973 as Clayton Woman's Club and was incorporated in 1982. In 2002 members voted to change the name to GFWC Clayton Valley Woman's Club to better reflect our membership. The purpose of this incorporated non-profit organization shall be charitable and to provide community service and friendship.

CVWC is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, International, the GFWC California Federation of Women's Clubs, and the GFWC Mount Diablo District.

GFWC is one of the world's largest women's volunteer service organizations, with members in more than 40 countries. CFWC is made up of state federations and has approximately 300 clubs with a membership of more than 13,000.

If you are interested in making new friends and want to make a difference in your community, we invite you to join us at a meeting or attend an event. Everyone is welcome.
